LGBTQIA Community Mobilization Specialist:

BRiDGES, The Madison County Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse, Inc., is seeking a candidate interested in a full time (35/ hr weekly) temporary (through April 2024) position as LGBTQIA Community Mobilization Specialist. This position will entail working alongside the LGBTQIA Coordinator in planning, promoting, and implementing the workplan deliverables aligned with grant funding. This position will include: Serving as a liaison between BRiDGES and community organizations, community partners, and the community at large for the purpose of promoting the LGBTQIA initiative; Gaining an understanding of the community organizations, agencies, schools, groups and individuals that will contribute to the successful implementation of the grant/ program and incorporate this into the daily work; Providing leadership in identifying and engaging community resources; And working with community organizations to identify how existing resources or programming could be leveraged to strengthen or enhance the program (and other duties as assigned). The position is hybrid with some work required from the Oneida office location and other sites as needed throughout Madison County. Must have reliable transportation and the ability work nights and weekends if needed to reach program objectives. Bachelor’s Degree (or relevant lived experience) and background check required. Prevention Education Specialist:

Full- time Prevention Education Specialist needed (35 hrs/wk). Responsible for promoting, coordinating, and implementing the facilitation of evidence-based alcohol/ other drug prevention programs throughout the county, including in schools. Conduct community trainings, forums, and outreach. Promotion of workplace wellness programming. This position is hybrid with some in-office (Oneida, NY) work as required.
