Make a Lasting Impact in Madison County! Join Our Team as a Coalition Coordinator
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of youth and adults in Madison County? We’re looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Coalition Coordinator! This exciting position is part of a state-funded community coalition grant focused on reducing the impact and harm of marijuana use among youth and adults.
As the Coalition Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in driving the day-to-day activities and organization of the coalition’s efforts. You’ll oversee the implementation of our initiative’s objectives, guiding the coalition in assessing needs, building capacity, planning and executing programs, and evaluating progress.
Your leadership will be key in developing sustainable strategies that foster long-term involvement from local institutions, organizations, and individuals in substance use prevention.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the coordination and implementation of community-wide initiatives aimed at reducing marijuana use and its associated harms
Assess community needs and build capacity to support prevention efforts
Plan, implement, and evaluate activities that align with grant priorities
Guide coalition members in developing and executing strategies for long-term community involvement in prevention
Ensure timely and accurate reporting in line with grant requirements
Organize and facilitate all coalition meetings throughout the year and maintain consistent communication with stakeholders
Collect, analyze and utilize needs assessment data for furthering and evaluating coalition efforts.
Position Details:
Full-time, 35 hours per week
Requires 100% commitment to the program
Travel required for grant activities; reliable transportation a must
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred (or relevant experience)
Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
Ability to collaborate with diverse community members and organizations
