On Thursday, April 21st, community leaders and partners, members of the community, and staff members of The Madison County Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse, Inc., known as BRiDGES, celebrated 35 years of service to the community. The event was attended by Senator Rachel May, Assemblyman John Salka, Board of Supervisors Chairman John Becker, Madison County Administrator Mark Scimone, among others. At the reception, staff members of the organization shared information about the programs they facilitate for the community. BRiDGES honored the life of Board of Directors’ Member, Darlene Angelicchio, who passed away in March of 2022 with the presentation of the Darlene Angelicchio Community Service Award. The award was given to Dr. Sarah Lappin for her involvement as Medical Director overseeing the agency’s Opioid Overdose Prevention Program since 2020.
